Our story

About The Board Game Society

The specific purpose of this corporation is to host public board-game events and provide instruction in modern hobby games to support community connection and education.

Why we started this

I founded this nonprofit with one simple mission: create a place where people can come and game together. I've always had a group of hardcore board gamers in my life, and I know not everyone is lucky enough to have that. I wanted to help cultivate board gaming in my community and build a genuinely safe space for people to play.

What we do

We host welcoming, public-facing events that make board games more approachable for new players, families, and lifelong hobbyists.

How to get involved

Attend an event, join as a member, make a donation, or join our Discord community to stay in the loop.

A safe space for everyone

Our events are open to all ages, but the corporation does not provide childcare - anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
